Governor Eric Greitens has appointed Bruce F. Hilton, of Kirkwood, as Circuit Court Judge for the 21st Judicial Circuit, which covers St. Louis County. He will fill the position created by the retirement of the Honorable Barbara W. Wallace.
Bruce Hilton has more than 30 years of experience litigating in the St. Louis area. Courts have appointed Hilton as a Guardian ad Litem in more than 3,500 cases, where he has advocated for children and assisted the court in resolving contested custody disputes. He is currently the managing partner of the Hilton Law Group.
Hilton is a dedicated member of the St. Louis community. He is a volunteer coach and first grade religious school teacher, a member of the Black Sheep Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and a member of the Meacham Park Neighborhood Improvement Association. Hilton previously served on the Board of Governors for the Missouri Bar for 11 years. He is the past president of the St. Louis County Bar Association and the former chair of the 21st Judicial Circuit Evaluation Committee, which reviews the judicial performance of judges in St. Louis County. Hilton received his law degree and undergraduate degree from Saint Louis University.
“I am pleased to appoint Bruce Hilton to the 21st Judicial Circuit, where I am confident he will discharge his duties as a judge with fairness toward litigants and a respect for the rule of law,” said Governor Greitens.
