Governor Eric Greitens has appointed Thomas A. McCarthy, of St. Louis, as Associate Circuit Court Judge for the 22nd Judicial Circuit, which covers the City of St. Louis. He will replace the Honorable Scott Millikan, whom Governor Greitens appointed to the circuit bench last month.
Thomas McCarthy, a lifelong resident of St. Louis City, is an attorney with TuckerAllen LLC. Prior to joining the firm, McCarthy served as an assistant prosecuting attorney for St. Louis County and as a city counselor for St. Louis City. He began his legal career at a large civil defense firm in St. Louis. McCarthy received his undergraduate degree from Truman State University and his law degree from Saint Louis University.
“From his time as a prosecutor and a city counselor, to his years as a private practitioner, Tom brings a wide variety of experience to the bench,” said Governor Greitens. “I am confident he will be an excellent associate circuit court judge.”
